Christian Wiggin – Critical Care Paramedic and Instructor

Christian brings over 20 years of experience as a Critical Care Paramedic to the Crux Medical team. His background spans leadership, training, and front-line paramedic duties, ensuring his instruction is both practical and insightful.

For the past 9 years, Christian has honed his skills in the fast-paced environment of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) teams. This experience allows him to share invaluable insights into critical care and emergency response.

Christian’s passion for education extends beyond his extensive clinical background. Since 2008, he has been a dedicated instructor, sharing his knowledge with paramedics from diverse backgrounds. This includes working alongside:

  • Elite military units
  • Specialist police and fire service teams
  • Royal Physicians
  • Expedition medics around the world

Christian’s unique blend of experience and teaching ability allows him to effectively train medical professionals in a variety of specialties. We are proud to have him as part of the Crux Medical team.

Dr Glyn Thomas – Cardiologist and Pre-Hospital Care Expert

Dr. Glyn stands out as one of the few Consultant Cardiologists in the UK with dual expertise in Pre-Hospital Critical Care. This unique combination allows him to bridge the gap between hospital care and emergency response situations.

For many years, Glyn has collaborated with Christian on one of the country’s busiest Air Ambulance teams, providing him with:

  • Invaluable firsthand experience: Witnessing critical decisions made in the field and the importance of seamless patient care transitions.
  • Deep understanding of pre-hospital care: Glyn can tailor his teachings to the specific needs of pre-hospital medical professionals.

Beyond his impressive clinical background, Glyn is recognised as a charismatic teacher. He boasts an outstanding professional and academic record, making him an invaluable asset to the Crux Medical team.

Dave Dungay – Air Ambulance Critical Care Response Paramedic

Dave brings a wealth of experience to Crux Medical as a seasoned Air Ambulance Critical Care Paramedic and Hazardous Area Response Team Paramedic. His expertise extends far beyond the ambulance bay, making him a leader in major trauma management and complex rescue scenarios.

Jason brings over 16 years of paramedic experience to Crux Medical, with a career focusing on clinical development and education. As an Advanced Paramedic in Urgent and Primary Care, he leads the Paramedic Science program at Plymouth University, one of the most successful in the country.
